Jason Roe

Co-owner of Teach 2 Teach, Guitar, Voice, Piano, and Music Theory Teacher

With a music degree from Nyack College, Jason has been professionally teaching private and group music lessons since 2004, primarily in the West Milford, NJ area. He has been working with kids and teens for many years as part of the Young Life program and as a swim team and tennis coach. Jason has experience with Special Needs kids and also with adult learners, and is part of the leadership team at the Journey Church of the Highlands.

Kay Roe

Raised in a musical family, Kristina Roe has traveled the country on tour with her high school vocal group and has competed nationally in both Chorale and Piano Duet competitions. She has been teaching guitar, piano, and voice since 2005. The oldest of 7, Kristina has been working with children her whole life and has taught and led children’s programs both locally and internationally in Belize, Haiti, Peru, and Mexico. She also has 2 years of experience in the Toastmaster’s public speaking program and speaks Spanish.

Joel Zaloum

Guitar, Bass Guitar, Voice, music theory, and Piano Teacher

Joel is a music teacher who has been teaching a variety of instruments since 2012. He currently has more students than any of our other T2T teachers (over 30). Joel comes from a large musical family and has been playing guitar, piano, and singing his entire life. He is a worship leader at his church, and toured in a widely-acclaimed choral group.

Alethea Wilhelm

Voice, Piano, and music theory teacher

Alethea Wilhelm, mezzo-soprano, began her musical journey singing with her father on his children’s folk albums and performances as early as four years old. Her classical debut was with the Nyack College Opera Workshop (2010-2013), where her roles included Papagena from The Magic Flute and Sonia from The Merry Widow. Alethea was a member of the Cleveland Orchestra Chorus (2014-2015) and performed in the 2014 Spoleto Festival in Charleston, SC. Alethea served as the featured artist and as assistant to the music directors for the 2016 Assisi Performing Arts Festival in Assisi, Italy. She was a qualifier for the 2016 NATS Nationals. Alethea performed, in Montclair State University’s production of L’Enfant et les sortilèges, as the White Cat and performed with The Princeton Festival in Beethoven’s, Fidelio in 2017. She has been a member of the beloved quartet in Morristown, NJ, The Christmas Singers, for two consecutive years hosted by Music at Noon Concert Series. Alethea and her husband, Jordan Wilhelm, also perform their original music nationally in a duo called Truth & I. They have released two full-length albums: Floorboards (2013) and This is Living (2015); and two EP’s: Share their World (2014) and A Midwestern Christmas (2015). She and her husband co-direct the St. Thomas Concert Series in Central Nyack, NY. She has been teaching private lessons for over 5 years. Alethea has her M.A. in Vocal Performance, from Montclair State University, and currently studies voice with Lorraine Ernest.

Jordan Wilhelm

Jordan Wilhelm began his undergraduate studies at Nyack College. He has performed in the Spoleto Festival, as well as The Cleveland Orchestra Chorus under the direction of Robert Porco and Franz Welser-Möst. He has performed with the musical collective “Truth & I” on the east coast and in the midwest. He has also produced and recorded multiple albums. He has his Masters of Arts in Vocal Performance from Montclair State University.

Chloe Nevill

Voice, Piano, music theory, and Flute Teacher, Events Coordinator

Chloe grew up in a large musical household. She began on piano as her first instrument followed by the flute while participating in choir as well. In high school, she began pursuing music professionally by taking private voice instruction, joining a select chorale, and participating in community theater productions. She holds a Bachelors of Music from Nyack College and a Masters of Arts from Montclair State University. Chloe has coached high schoolers for musical numbers, vocal recitals, and theater productions as well as taught privately for three years.

Jacob Nevill

Voice, Piano, music theory, and Woodwinds Teacher

Jacob Nevill has been a performer, teacher, and composer since 2003. He is finding ways to reconnect people to classical music and jazz through academics, composition or technology and get people excited to tell their story.

In 2008, he graduated from Nyack College with degrees in music composition and saxophone performance. While there, he earned distinctions in both fields and did numerous performances with the college. In 2011, he received a masters in jazz arranging and composition from William Paterson University.

Mr. Nevill has arranged music for artists such as Bernie Williams and has composed and produced musical scores for short films and indies. He currently is involved with writing music for film and media, is an contributing artist with various music licensing companies, and is an adjunct instructor at Nyack College. Sean Brody

Piano, singing, and music theory Teacher

Sean is a piano teacher from Pompton Plains, NJ, and has been playing the piano since he was 6 years old. He studied classical and jazz privately for 11 years. He played as a live member in Abigail Breslin’s band in 2015 and signed a publishing deal with his own band (The Weekenders) in Italy and Switzerland where they have received radio play on top 40 stations, and he is currently recording in the studio with a 10x Grammy Winner getting prepared to release a new album. He has been teaching piano for the last 8 years and is grateful that he can share his love of music with others.

Grace Nevill

From a very early age, Grace has cultivated a love for music. She picked up the violin when she was eight and the Piano when she was twelve. Participating in numerous choirs throughout the years, Grace has been singing longer than she remembers. She has accompanied choirs and performed in various youth orchestras as well as musical productions. Pursuing a Music BA through Thomas Edison university, Grace hopes to aid others in growing their musical skills and talents.

Growing up in a household of pianists, guitarists, singers, and more, Leah is no stranger to music. At age 5, Leah started her musical journey on the piano. For a short period she dabbled in the violin, and later took up the guitar.

Leah is currently pursuing a Music BA with Thomas Edison University and is a budding singer/songwriter. She hopes to someday record and perform her original songs.

Lydia has just recently graduated college in May of 2016, where she get her degree to be a Middle School English Teacher with a concentration in ESL. She is a licensed teacher in the state of Mass and wants to use what she has learned to help students who need some extra help in a subject. She has worked with middle school students in all subjects, tutored twins in first grade, and taught English to students in Jordan. She enjoys working patiently with her students to help them reach their full potential.

Alina  Engibaryan

Piano, and Singing Teacher

Was born on 15 of May 1993,in Rostov-on-Don , Russia.
“An intimate voice full of valiant whims, Alina Engibaryan is a novel vocalist within a modern improvisational tradition. She has passionately developed a sensibility that enables her to communicate emotions instantly to the audience and her fellow musicians. With both a technical mastery and an audacious attitude, Alina is a live experience to be heard”.
In 2012, She was a finalist in the Prinses Christina Jazz Concours in Amsterdam, one of the largest jazz competitions in the country. The following year Alina was a finalist in the Dutch Vocal Competition, establishing her prowess in the European jazz scene.
Despite her young age, Alina has already recorded, performed and toured in Europe, Asia and United States. She can be heard as a leader on her debut 2011 album “When The Sun Rises” 2016 “Driving Down The Road”and her new record "We Are" 2018 .
In 2009, Engibaryan was involved in several international Big-Band projects, including the East-West European Jazz Big Band where she was a soloist, and toured with them throughout Germany, Serbia, and the Czech Republic. Her present status is best reflected from the festivals and tours she performed in alongside today’s jazz greats. These include performances at the Novi Sad Jazz Festival alongside Brad Meldhau, Charlie Hunter, and Marcus Miller, and an Eastern European tour alongside Dennis Rowland, Jerry Bergonzi and Wycleff Gordon.

Alina has been singing all her life and comes from a musical family, her grandfather being the world famous Russian jazz drummer Nicholay Goncharov. She began singing as early as two years old, and graduated from the highly renowned Kim Nazaretov Music School in Rostov with the highest marks possible. At age 18, Alina moved and began studying jazz vocals in the Netherlands with Jd Walter, Francien van Tuinen and Ruben Hein. After finishing with her bachelor in vocal performance – Alina continued her studies at the Prince Claus Conservatory, getting a degree in Big Band Jazz Arranging.
In 2015 – Alina was announced as the winner of the Shure Montreux Jazz Voice Competition by jazz and soul singer Al Jarreau, who was leading the competition jury during its final stages, held at the Petit Théâtre in the Montreux Palace. Now she performs regularly around the world with her own band and as a side man in several projects.
